So the current diagnosis is possibly asthma coming back which is triggered by stress and anxiety. But the weak heart rate? Ngast.

Anyway, basically, i'm not supposed to get myself upset or stressed or tensed or i'll get another one of those attacks again. And i hate them coz its getting worse lately. And it's taking longer to recover from. And it makes me super weak. Lung function test next week. Then we'll see how it goes. Should've asked for anxiety pills or sleeping pills.

I feel the need for LOTSA fun. Chalet fun or just doing fun stuff with frens and having loads of laugh. Need to laugh. I miss the fun we used to have...the whole NFE gang.

I've been so busy with work and trying to squeeze in time to rest after work and exploring my new blackberry that i havent had the time to write about my advanced birthday party that my sweet sweet dinosaw planned for me! :)

I gotta say, he did a really good job at surprising me. Coz i seriously, honestly, did not see it coming AT ALL. Until we reached the bbq pit. Haha. I was still in a daze on monday. I kept staring at the blackberry and touching it just to be sure that it really is mine. I love him sooo much!!

I'm not much of a Jason Mraz fan. But his latest song Make It Mine is really nice. Everytime i hear it while on the bus on the way to work makes me wish i already have my cruiser bike. And that i probably took the day off and was cycling to the beach listening to that song. Somehow it puts a smile on my face.

Yesterday was one of the best time we've had lately. Was just me and the boy.. I really didnt know what to do this weekend so i decided to leave it all up to him. And turns out he did have a great idea after all....ice skating! I wasnt realy sure how cold the place would be so i packed double of everything. Haha.

The boy liked what i was wearing ;)

While waiting for the shuttle bus at kallang mrt, we were eating buns and he was bugging me to tell him what his present is that we totally didnt notice the shuttle bus came by. I ran up to flag it down but the damn bus driver didnt even bother to stop even tho he saw me! Gah. But it didnt matter coz we figured we could just walk there. Wasnt too bad at first coz it was pretty shady and all, then halfway thru it suddenly got pretty warm, then from the other side, majorly huge dark clouds were heading towards us. And then it got us thinking if we should make a run for it. But we didnt. Haha. Oh and it was during this walk that i also found out that the boy had sneaked into my cupboard arnd the time of his birthday in 2006 and saw the PSP which was to be his present! GRRRR... But at least this year he has absolutely no clue at all *evil laugh*

We finally got to the skating ring. So i excitedly put on my skates and sweater and gloves and hoped i wouldnt fall. That ice was slippery! And scary. I honestly thought it would just be like rollerblading. But it was more scary. Just standing on the ice was scary coz your foot might just move a little and you might slip and land on your bump. But the boy, being the good coach that he is..heheh, was pretty much talking me thru it and teaching me how to align my feet and stuff. And the whole time i was gripping on to his hand real hard. We made a couple of rounds around the ring. Everytime we got too fast, i got reeeally scared. Then after a while, i managed to skate around myself. The boy even took a video of me waddling around on the ice.

After our 2 hours were up, we got out of there, and found a cinema next door. So we decided to watch madagascar 2! It's hilarious. And it was really nice cuddling up to him in the cinema :) When was the last time we got cinema seats that allowed us to cuddle? We need more cuddle-able cinema seats!

Oh yea...next to the cinema was an arcade and they had those machines with robot arms that pick up toys that you can win.. The boy wanted to try those coz we saw a couple of nice stitch plush toys. And he got 2 of em! At different machines lah. But he got 2 of em! For me!

Cool ey? It looked so easy! And these things are pretty big too. Now the little dinosaur plush has 2 more frens. Heheh. When it was time to leave, we decided not to take the shuttle bus and just walked back to the mrt station. I didnt wana go home...but yea, it was getting late

Sigh...i love spending time with him. And yesterday was just perfect ;)

The boy's back in tekong for a 4-day camp. Tonite's only the first nite but it's starting to get to me. Not that this is the first time. I think it's like some pattern thingy..i'll probably be fine for a couple of weeks. Then it'll start to get to me. Then i'll be fine again. Then it'll get to me again.
But it just drives me nuts that i only get to see him on weekends when i miss him so much.

So many things have happened these past few weeks. It all started with Bambam's passing. I'm coping better now. Still visiting his grave everyday and his cage is still on my table. But i'm feeling much better. Honestly, it still feels like i have 3 boys.

Then of coz we had the chalet/halloween party. Which was loads of fun. And we found a cute little 4 month old bunny whom we named Rambo. Put him up at Pets Republic and he was just recently adopted. I never cycled so much my whole life. Went home with aching thighs.

And today, sweet adorable Tini finally got adopted. The moment she saw me, she ran to the door. Even after not visiting her for so long, she still remembers me. Got to spend some time with her before her new family came. They're realy nice people. Tini's their first pet so they had lotsa questions to ask, which was really good. And they're really serious about it. Went all out to get the preparations done. I'm sooo happy for her!! She didnt realy wana leave tho.. When it was time to put her in the carrier, she was clinging on to me. Kept rubbing herself on my legs and purring. I'm so gona miss her.. She's the sweetest, most gentle cat i've ever met. So happy she finally has a home and a family to give her all the attention she needs. I'll probably give them a call tomorow to see how she's doing.

Bambam...i never knew this would be so hard..

Last night, i felt your presence in my room. Thank you baby.. You made me feel so much better. It was so nice and warm and comforting. I didnt feel so sad when you were there. I think So'od and Binks felt you too coz they came in and sat with me. I took the chance to tell you how much i miss you and talked about some of the cute things u used to do. I told you to stay with me longer coz i still need you while i get myself stable again. I hope you heard me.. My heart actually felt whole when you were there. Thank you sayang for staying that long..

But later on when i was calling Binks to his cage, instead of calling out his name, i called out your name instead, and it made me tear again. But i tried not to be so sad coz i was happy that you were around earlier.

I went back into my room hoping to still feel you around but i think you left. I only felt your slight presence. I still told you to stick around tho. Oh by the way, i havent cleaned your cage or put away your things yet. It's still too soon. I'll keep them where they are til i'm better.

I rotated your wheel just to hear the same sound you always make every night. And when i went to sleep, i wrapped my arm around your cage. And i've been collecting every single bit of memory i have of you. Mirza's helping me with that.

This morning wasnt so good tho.. I woke up at 4.30am which was exactly the same time yesterday that i msged Mirza and told him i couldnt stand watching you suffer like that. I looked over at your cage and i couldnt stop crying. So'od came in and sat on my bed with me. After awhile, i managed to get myself back to sleep. But i woke up again at 6.20am, just 5 mins before i felt your last heartbeat yesterday. I cried and called out for you but i didnt feel you around.

It was only later while i was getting ready for work did i feel your slight presence in my room again. I stayed awhile and looked at your pictures. I didnt care if i was late for work. I just wanted to stay with you. I told you to come back again tonight coz i could realy use your company. But i also told you that if possible, stay with me wherever i go so in that way, i can always feel you around even when i'm not in my room. Just now, when i came back to the office from lunch, i felt you again.. I whispered your name and smiled.

Oh btw, i left a sunflower seed and peanut on your grave. They're your favourite :) I'll be coming by everyday to check on you. But if i dont come by sometimes, it doesnt mean i forgot about you tau.. I might be away sometimes. But you're always in my heart :)

I spoke too soon.

This morning, at 6.25am, i felt Bambam's heartbeat for the last time. And i still cant believe he's gone.

Last night, for no reason, his condition deteriorated drastically. He was struggling to move and could barely keep his head up. I tried to give him water but he wouldnt move his mouth. By then it was too late to bring him over to the vet so i tried my best to keep him comfortable and warm and stayed up with him the whole nite hoping to rush him to the vet this morning. I held him in my hands for the longest time and stroked his head gently. He looked at me a few times when i called out his name. He looked at me when i started to cry.

I prayed so hard that he would get thru it. But somehow deep in my heart, i knew it was probably gona be time for him to go. I managed to tell him how much i love him, how much he means, how i can still remember the times when he was just a little baby. I just hope he heard it all.

Now my room feels so empty without him around. I used to always be able to hear him running on his wheel or digging around his bedding. And he always knows when i call out his name. To think i just cleaned his cage yesterday and he was totally fine the whole afternoon. I cant stop looking at his cage and wishing he's still in there. Everytime i hear a sound coming from where my table is, i'd think it's him.

It'll take me a long time to get over this.. Me and sis buried him just now under the row of bushes right behind my block. At least in that way, we can still be near. And i can always look out my window and know he's there.

Bambam...i hope you're fine wherever you are now. I'm glad that you can rest peacefully now. And i'm so grateful i got to spend your last hours with you and tell you so many things and look into your cute little eyes. Thank god for giving me that chance. I'm so sorry if i ever did anything to hurt you baby. You will always be the cutest of my 3 boys. I'll always remember you. Goodbye sweetheart...i love you..

We need to switch to wireless broadband around here. Sis has been using the comp and i happen to have a little bit of work to do. So i've been tapping into a neighbour's wireless the whole day. Hah! Thankyou whoever you are.

Bambam's turning 2 years old in January and it worries me. He has been showing signs of aging and losing quite abit of fur. His appetite though, doesnt seem to run off. Still eating alot and has a big tummy. I'll admit...i'm not good at dealing with this. Even though people say he's just a hamster and thats how its meant to be coz they have a short lifespan, its just not the same for me. He's always been one of my little boys. And i love him just as much. Gah..i can still remember the day i brought him home from the SPCA. He was so tiny. Cant believe it's been so long now. I just hope God extends his life at least a little bit longer and when its time for him to go, i'm there with him.

I got an Omnia! It's so pretty~ Still checking out the functions and trying to getting used to it. Finally i got a new phone eh. And good thing also starhub gave me a $150 voucher. Thought i had to pay like 500 bucks for it. But i only got it for 200+!

Anyhoos, this sat jalan raye in our minibus! I hope it's clean, not dusty, has a working radio and the air-con works. Ahahahaa. Then maybe we'll play bunga api in it also. Confirm kecoh. Next year i'm thinking we upgrade to a 15 seater. Maner tau...we might have additions to the jalan raye geng.

In the office, kitorang tak abis2 dengar lagu raye. We brought along the kuihs that we made and bought a bottle of zappel. Feeling raye abis.

So far, i've been to 3 friends' weddings. And one of em already has a kid.

As much as it scares me, this whole getting married and starting your own family thing, i know that someday i'll be doing it too. I think i might've scared the boy abit with my plan. See i've always thought that the latest i would have my first child is at 28. And i would wana have my own place first before that happens. And between all that and getting married, i'd like to have a one year gap each. So that means: get married at 26, get a house by 27, have my first kid by 28. Problem is...i am, right now, 23. And that leaves me with only 3 years. 3 years people!! Worse is...i have not started saving and i have absolutely no idea how much i have in my CPF account. Awesome! Although i have just recently started on an investment plan.

Oh but i have decided that my wedding will be a joint-family thing. As in, the wedding will only be held at one particular spot and its shared by both sides of the family. How many times have you been to a wedding and actually get a chance to see the bride and groom and congratulate them? They're always moving from one side to the other. This is the perfect plan! And plus...it's MY wedding anyway, i would rather stick around and mingle with the people who attend it rather than being ushered off here and there.

And being a huge animal-lover, my kids will of course be raised in a animal-friendly home. I'll teach them to be compassionate towards animals, to stand up for them if they ever see other kids abusing an animal. And we will use products that are not tested on animals. Definitely no fur either.

I duno...izit too early to be thinking about all these? Was talking to Maad about it the other day and he was practically laughing his ass off at how serious i sound. But i'm a planner. I like knowing that i have a plan. That i know what i'm getting into and that when it does happen, i have everything ready, financially and all. But yea...obviously i havent started planning. Just been thinking about it. But shouldnt we all start to think about it?

It doesnt help when you have colleagues who're older than you and talking abt weddings and diaper cakes and how much it costs to buy a 4-room flat. But i gotta admit, the diaper cakes...damn nice! So we went cycling at sentosa yesterday. And the boy said i've improved. Haha! And it was only my second time. Was really looking forward to cyling at the nature trail. When we got there, a sign said no through road and that no one is to enter. We took a peek and decided to just go for it. Was really having fun on the trail, learning to make use of the brake and stuff. Everything was good, til we reached a part of the path that was boarded up. Some construction thing. Crap. Had to turn back and go on the beach trail instead. Which was loaded with people and other bikes and beach trams and what not. But ok uh, i learned how to avoid people. Hoho. Except for this one dumbass who didnt noe to move further away from me and my handlebar hit his watch. But he was walking on the bicycle track anyway.

I still wana go through the damn nature trail. Dammit. But i guess we'll try out pasir ris park next.

But anyways, the boy thinks i shld get my own bike. Or steal one. So we can go cycling when there's nothing else to do on weekends. I dont mind. But money is such a big issue right now. What with everything that's happening. And everything else that'll determine how my future will be is still a big question mark. It all depends on the people who are in it.

Tioman was awesome! I cant remember when was the last time i saw water so clear and turquoise everywhere. And the fishes! So many freaking colourful fishes! Big, small, you name it. The march issue of National Geographic has a good 28 page article on Animal Minds. Sheeps can recognize individual faces and remember them long term. Who knew! Heh. And an african cichlid, which is a fish, can determine social rank through observation, which is apparently a step on the way to logical reasoning. They do talk about other animals as well.

I've heard of Alex before, the African gray. Saw a documentary about him on tv i think. A researcher owned him and she taught him the english language. They could practically have conversations and he could tell her what he wants. He even made up a word "ban-erry" to refer to apples coz to him, they taste abit like bananas and look like cherries. Which made mum wanna have one as a pet. Hurhur. Like real only. So'od will probably end up fighting with it everyday. Alex passed away last september tho at the age of 31. I would've wanted to meet him.

Oh and we had fun at sentosa last saturday with our new H7. I took a few pretty pictures. Hee. The boy got them black jungle scorpions put on his arm at the butterfly & insect kingdom. Feeling scorpion king. The staff who handles them was pretty nonchalant about it. He casually told us they still had venom in em. Oh yea...on saturday, we went to the national library to visit the busy barn's pushcart and get bink's hay and stuff. Then went exploring the library. Got abit lost at the lobby. Wasnt sure what is where. So anyways, in the lift on the way down, i got butt-squeezed. By a tiny kid, a few years old, and definitely a boy. He came up behind me n started squeezing the bottom part of my left buttcheek and hung on to my thigh and didnt seem to wanna let go. I went "Wooo...eee!" coz his hand was somewhere near the middle. Then his dad finally pulled him away.

The little kid looked happy.

Bambam's a year old today! So i snagged a few pieces of kailan and bayam from the fridge, chopped up a small portion of baby carrot and plucked a few pieces of corn. Then i chopped up a small portion of apple and threw those in too. And then i served him his birthday salad..

You know if you go down to ntuc tampines mall, there's one whole particular shelf with all the australian products on it - condiments, sauces, snacks etc. I found a bottle of strawberry chilli sauce. Aussies use it for cooking or as a dipping sauce. Hah. I wonder how it tastes like.

This sunday, bambam turns a year old. How fast time flies. I hope he'll stick around for 2 more years at least. And since he loves green leafy veges, i'm gona make him a birthday salad.

I'm still in the holiday mood. But here i am, back at work. Bah.
So to cheer myself up, i got jumbo sausage and potato wedges with cheese and mustard dip from rocky master's, plus tropical passion tea latte and mud pie from coffee bean's. YUM.
Then next monday, which is new year's eve i'm taking another leave which means its another long weekend for me. Yay!

Oh and the past 6 days were great. Lazed around at home with the boys.

Binks is like a puppy in certain ways. Read somewhere that most people say lops tend to be like that. Awesome! Anyhoos, he has this thing about getting excited when i'm about to give him his dinner. He'll just skip around like a mad bunny until i put his bowl down. The other day, he got so excited i decided to play along (too bad i didnt have my camera with me), he was skipping around as usual, so i just called out his name repeatedly to get him more excited, he looked up at me then kept jumping in and out of his cage, shaked his head and binkied around and didnt stop til i stopped. Then when i put his bowl down, he hopped around my legs before finally settling down to eat.

I duno when i'm bringing him out for a picnic again. The weather's so unpredictable. Plus tanjong beach is out of bounds for now coz jasmine's shih tzus got ticks after swimming there. So i'm thinking botanic gardens. Heh.

Oh yea...have you ever seen how long a hamster's tongue is? I know bambam's is probably abt 1.7cm long. Hoho. Bambam's always greedy about treats, so the other day i was squeezing his cheese out of the tube to feed it to him, he was in his cage of course, he practically tried to squeeze his face thru with his whole tongue stuck out and all. And it was long! I grabbed my phone to take a picture of it but he stopped doing it. It was hilarious! I burst out laughing and so'od looked at me like i was crazy. Second photo op missed. I'm really thinking abt wearing my phone around my neck.

And i am so going to the science centre one of these days!

All's well in kitty-bunny-hamster land.

Last night, Jarjarbink played peek-a-boo in the cat tunnel. And i have yet to set up the jungle gym i got for them. Very pissed with Target.com coz they kept sending me the gym in blue instead of multi-color as it is on the product page. But whatever lah ah. At least i got them to pay me back the shipping costs. Harhar. Oh and i got the cat tent from Ikea.

Went to AVA's Responsible Pet Ownership roadshow on saturday. All the welfare organisations were there. Even a chow chow and a samoyed. Man, their fur were nice. Oh and i met the sweetest cocker spaniel. Bought grapevine christmas ornaments from HRSS's stall for binks and a reindeer toy from matt&leah for so'od. Subscribed to Pets Magazine. The Clubpets people were gone before i got to their stall. Gah.

Anyhoos, i've ditched Cleo and Seventeen for these:

First 2 are US mags and the third one's a UK mag. Can get them at Borders. Rabbits USA's an annual mag though. So gotta wait til January for the next issue. Havent come across a monthly bunny mag yet but i'm still looking. The december issue of Cat Fancy comes with a 2008 calendar. Your Cat has tons of medical and health issues to read about. And they always have a section teaching you how to build something for your cat. Good stuff to read!

Who knows of an organic seed supplier in singapore? Oat, wheat and barley seeds to be precise. Growmax.com.sg has mostly vege seeds. Which is cool, but i'll haf to negotiate with mum to create a space for that. I've been buying Four Paws' Cat Vita-Greens but due to bink's savage foraging, it doesnt last long. Yeap..it's for binks, not so'od :D

Subscribed to Cat Fancy too and currently waiting for my first issue to arrive. Hoho!

Oh and yesterday, we went vivo and had yummy ben & jerry's brownie and banana split and i got myself the choc chip cookie dough lip balm! Then we checked out PageOne and i got myself the Your Cat magazine. A UK magazine but not bad uh. US magazines still have better info and stuff to read abt..hurhur.

I ate so much the past 2 days that i had a stomachache this afternoon and had to rush home to have a huge dump. But food's gooooooooooooood!

And i got myself some of em packets! What can i say...i look young. Bwahahaha. I'm not gona keep the money tho. Will be dividing them up and donating to a few of the animal welfare organisations.

So anyways, i bought 2 sets of the IKEA TRABY Shelf units and turns out they dont match the stuff in my room. Selling em off for 50 bucks each. Who wants?

It's a really nice piece but i duno...i think it's gotta do with the layout of my room and the furnitures. Dont match sia. Blardy waste. But yea..only put em up for 10mins and off they came. Still new lah obviously. The original box's a wreck thanks to so'od who thinks its his huge scratch post.

I think shelves dont suit my room. See lah..want to display stuff also canot. Bleargh

Soooo...Paws at the Beach was fun. Even tho we got drenched. Things were fine at first. Looked around at the booths, binks volunteered himself to get groomed for charity, bought a cute desk calendar. Jasmine brought her dogs along too but was over at subway so me, binks and the boy just hung arnd while waiting.

Then some people spotted a water spout out at sea. Right where the ships were. It pretty much stayed there for awhile so nobody realy thought anything about it except to take pictures and videos. And then...(in the World's Most Amazing Videos narrator's voice) Disaster struck.

Heavy rain started to pour, with strong winds. Those at the shoreline ran towards the tentage. We were quite sheltered there so decided to just stay and watch the water spout. It came closer to shore, directly towards us and it started to curve. The closer it got, the stronger the wind. Posters and things on display were being blown off the tables. Then just as the water spout reached shore, it turned to left and disappeared. But at the spot before it turned left, a second water spout began to form and it got bigger. The wind was getting stronger at this point. Then the water spout actually came on land and was sweeping up all the leaves and debris. At that moment, i actually thought it turned into a tornado. But just like the previous one, it lasted for awhile and disappeared. Tremendously strong wind followed and the tentage was actually getting slightly lifted on one side. Me and the boy helped with watever we could then ran to a nearby beach bar with binks in his carrier.

That was the closest thing we've got to a natural disaster but i gotta say, it was effing fun! NOW I KNOW WHY PEOPLE CHASE TORNADOES.

Oh yea, while taking shelter at the beach bar, we also saved 2 tiny kittens from the rain. A nice girl lent us her sweater to wrap the 2 kits up. We found the kittens' mum and other sibling later on. And together with another couple, we put all 4 of them at a safe place.

Right. I'm gona do it! I'm gona revamp a corner of my room and turn it into a kitty/bunny hangout corner! And i'm finally getting one of em cat towers. A 3-tier one should be good enuf. So it's off to ikea and pet safari this weekend for me. And it should all be done up by hari raya. Heheh.

As much as i like working and earning them yusof ishaks, i miss school. I miss the fun. I miss going for morning lecture then running down to town for lunch then going back to school for lab. I miss learning stuff...and having this whole pile of books on my table. I miss those late nights spent finishing up projects and the feeling i get when they're all finally done.

Maybe i just miss being a teen. Heh.

So anyways, i'm thinking...Biomedical Genetics. One of the modules is forensic science. I can be one of em CSIs! Nyahaa. But anyways, read the brochure and stuff, seems that its more inclined to human genome, forensics, agriculture.. But i'm still gona ask them if any tests on animals is involved. If everything's good, i can probably start school next year.

I got a swollen ankle. Yay. All because i was trying to catch the bus. Heheh. But at least i got a day off work!

But my weekend plans might get disrupted. Firstly, the boy's playing tomoro at beat merchants. Then on sunday there's the cat show and we planned to go to the beach after that. So uhm..yea.. it realy depends on how fast my ankle can heal. But at least its better than last night. I swear it looked dislocated. But turns out to be just a massive swelling.

Saturdays are much more fun nowadays. We've been coming up with new places to go other than the usual town/beach/town routine. It's actually not that bad being a tourist in your own country, exploring places that you rarely go to.

In fact, we went to labrador park last week to check out the war bunkers and went on a guided tour of the tunnels. Found out about it when i was at the airport having lunch 2 weeks ago. Those singapore explorer or uniquely singapore booths have tons of brochures and pamphlets about places to visit. Found a couple of cool stuff.

So anyways, those tunnels, really cool site. Everything's pretty much original. From the rubbles to the ammunition lift shafts to the room with the soft padded flooring where they stored the shells(you can still see the marks on the floor that the shells made!). The whole place was built in the 1880s and you can see everything in its original form. Nothing was changed except to put in electricity and a few tourist-friendly features. Compared to fort siloso and a few other forts, this is the first "authentic" war site that i've been to. And they only found out about it in 2001, i think?

Good thing our tour group was small so we were able to ask questions and stuff. One of the questions was whether the tunnels led to sentosa. Coz i think many people heard about that (I honestly dont think its possible to build one back at that time considering they would've had to go underwater) The tour guide said its not true. In fact those tunnels were built mainly for ammunition storage.

Oh and at the second tunnel, before we left, our guide decided to let us experience what its like not having electricity in there. So he made us stand in line against a wall in a section of the tunnel and turned off the lights. It was pitch black. Couldnt see a thing. Not even your own hands. That few seconds felt like a few minutes and i was starting to wonder if he was gona switch the lights back on. The boy practically wanted to walk out in that darkness. I didnt wanna move. Heh.

So yea..that was one of our fun weekends. Tomoro we're heading down to The Arts House coz Ccup is gona be there selling their yummy cupcakes and we're gona get our hands on em! Then maybe visit the Asian Civilizations Museum nearby or stroll around Queen Elizabeth Walk. Then next week...Cat Show!

I duno bout you people, but i think the NDP looked abit messy at Marina Bay. Especially when the camera was showing shots of the SSO and the part where the parade contingents were marching out. There were people standing everywhere. And what's with the taiji-yoga performance by the soka association sia?? Like taiji at the parks and void decks are not enough? What the fuck were they thinking. It was the most boring performance lah. But the stuff done on water by the navy and all that were cool. First time we see the navy doing something for ndp i think.

We sat at the mini pavilion they had there, right in front, and the rest came minutes after with the cupcakes, singing the birthday song. Okay..so he got me. But i still win 2-1. Mwahahah.

They got cute yummy cupcakes from gloria jean's with pretty star candles that i saved just coz they're so pretty.

Poor jarjarbink got an eye infection. I still duno how it happened. He was totally fine yesterday morning, and when i came home from work, there was a wet patch around his left eye, watery and had little bits of protein. The vet was closed by then and i didnt have any saline to flush it with so i could only wipe his eye with water.

Woke up a few times in the nite to wipe his eye and by this morning, his eyelids got red and much more watery so off to the vet we went. Good thing Dr Hsu was in today. And thank god it was just a normal eye infection. Caused by irritants in the eye. No cuts or anything. I tried to check if there was any particle in his eye last nite but didnt realy see any. I'm guessing he probably got it from his little adventures under my parents' bed. Kinda dusty down there.

Oh well, he got his eye drops and Dr Hsu said it'll only subside after 3 to 5 days. I'm itching to go home to check on him.

Finally got my ass down to U Petgamart with Jasmine today. Not bad lah. Tons of doggie stuff, the usual cat stuff. Not much for small animals tho. But they had a huge range of shampoos and supplements. And lotsa nice pet beds, grooming tools and leashes/collars. Oh and i got this for the boys:

Yea..Pet Refresh. Water specifically meant for pets. Saw it at clubpets or somewhere. Apparently water for human consumption has chemicals that isnt exactly that good for pets. And this bottle of pet refresh is definitely not for humans to drink. It doesnt seem like such a necessity to buy..but hey, at only $1 per 2litre bottle, i say why not. They even haf it in different flavours. There's the normal non-flavoured one, then there's beef, parsley, fish and chicken. I got the non-flavoured one just to try out for the boys. I wonder how beef tastes like. Hehh

Thought of visiting the other pet supermarts at all the other petfarms but since we didnt haf transport and walking around the whole place is just crazy, we decided to leave it for another day and visit white sands instead. Let's see now..it's been a year since i've been there i think? Oh how the place has changed. No longer the boring useless easpoint-like shopping centre that it used to be. Lotsa new shops. And i got meself 3 ear studs from watts in. Even the basement has changed eh.

See the thing about bathing so'od is that he'll yell and scream and run all around the bathroom trying his best to get away from the water that i'll end up getting soaked too. This has been going on for years and he still doesnt stop. Which is why i only bathe him early in the morning in my pjs so that i can just take my shower after that. Heh.

Yesterday was nice. Although the drizzle was abit annoying at times. Me and the boy brought jarjarbink out on his 2nd beach trip. We went tanjong beach this time round. Lots of us rarely go to this beach i think. Me and the boy decided to check it out last week and it was pretty nice. Much more quiet. Definitely less people as compared to siloso and pahlawan. And more pet friendly. Seems that the only people there are those with their dogs or the tourists who hang out at km8. And there was a nice big patch of grass facing the sea. The only thing is the toilets arent exactly developed yet. So they're pretty much in like these shipping container looking things.

Thank you ibm, for infecting me with viruses every fucking month. My nose is a mess and the right nostril just wont seem to stop leaking. Then lemsip came to the rescue and its abit better for now. I hope i'll get better by the weekend coz sunday's the cat show!

Who's up for some good food at Di-Tanjong Katong? Been eons since i've been there and talking about the food with Maad just makes me crave for some. Out of all the seafood places i've been to, theirs is the best! Sambal sotong, sweet n sour fish, fried baby squid, hotplate beancurd, sambal kangkong.. Ho yeah, good stuff. For a place that seems to be stuck in the 80s, they rock my tastebuds. If you've never been there, you're a loser.

Yesterday me and the boy brought Jarjarbink on his virgin trip to east coast. He had his stylish denim harness on. Hoho. And was hopping around pretty fast and sniffing everything. Even chewed on some grass. Tsk. But we had fun! Tried letting him haf a feel of the sand but i guess he still preferred the grass. There was an ndp preview going on yesterday i think and the choppers were flying there. The noise scared him and he kept hiding under the boy's leg or mine. Haha

Hopped around abit and he alredi got sleepy. Sheesh.

Anyhoos, i'll be going to this:

Not a big fan of Royal Canin. But i wana see the kitties. They've got the junior showmanship thing going on which means kids can sort of like judge the cats. Cool ey. They realy gotta know alot to do that.

Turns out the kitten that the boy found is a Maine Coon. We dont really know her age yet but if she's 4 mths old, we might just be able to enter her in the kitten category just for the fun of it. Would need some work to be done on her also uh. Heh.

Oh yes, i'm collecting any pets' unwanted items to be donated to the SPCA. I've got food bowls, some plush toys, chew toys also, some food i think. It's gona be fun.

Who knew we actualy haf an Egyptian Mau breeder in singapore. One of her cats won the previous cat show i think.

Jarjarbink is definitely looking much better today. Still just eating his hay and fruits. But at least he's more active. The weather's been so warm lately i found a good way to keep him cool. Turns out rabbits actualy have this system where blood that's pumped to the ears somehow get cooled. So one recommended way to keep bunnies cool in this hot weather is to wipe their ears with a wet cloth. Binks likes it when i do that. He actualy has that high look on his face.

Bambam on the other hand has a bald spot on the back of his neck. There might be another tiny one near his butt. Definitely not due to old age or mites. Asked Lifan abt it and she said a couple of people she knows also has that problem with their hamsters. Weather issue? This thursday's payday. I'll probably bring him down to Dr Hsu to have it checked out. Lifan suggested using the marukan powder shampoo and giving him vitamin C which i'm doing. We'll see how it turns out.

Jarjarbink the humping bunny got de-balled yesterday. He's safe and sound. Eating a little bit of hay and apple slices. Definitely still tired from the surgery and needs rest. I just hope his appetite will come back soon.

Look who i found yelling away in a box at the void deck this morning. They're only abt 3-4 weeks old. Had to call the spca coz i couldnt get hold of anyone else. Thank god my boss is on vacation so i waited with them at the void deck til the spca officer came. Heh. My arm is covered with scratches now. They were very hungry and crawled arnd my arm looking for milk. The white one was suckling so hard on my finger it left a red mark. Haha. I just hope they're fine..

For an italian dish that only consists of pasta, prawns, olive oil and chilli, Prawn Aglio tastes damn good. Heh. I'm kinda hooked on to it now. Bought myself organic pasta and organic extra virgin olive oil last nite and tried out the traditional italian recipe. Damn fast to cook lor. Like cooking maggi. Cooked abit more this morning and i'll be having it for lunch later. I might wana try it with salmon or mussles the next time.

I've been spending on organic snacks lately. Just got myself a packet of Sensible Food's Apple Harvest. Wonder if binks would like some. It's 100% organic apple so it should be ok. Cost me $3.50. Heh. But it's organic! I'm getting abit health conscious.

Someday when i get to buy myself a plot of land, i'll have an organic farm and grow fresh fruits and vegetables. Plus, if i sell them, i can earn quite abit since organic food is more expensive :D Then by then i'll have more pets and they can have fresh vege everyday.

Maybe for now, i'll try to find a way to get wheatgrass and italian parsley seeds. Grow em for binks and bambam.

Binks has been shifted to the entrance of the kitchen now that he's more settled down. The good thing about binks is that he's well-behaved and wouldnt even try to get out of his cage even when the flap is open. I can leave it open the whole day and he wouldnt even come out. Although it could also be because he's scared of the world outside his cage. Heh.

Anyhoos, we had fun playing last nite. So'od joined us and was playing with a piece of rubber band. And binks was playing with his willow ball. Wanted bambam to join us but he was sleeping as usual. I woke him up, he looked up at me, and went back to sleep. Sheesh.

Yesterday was such a beautiful bright sunny day it made me wana go to the beach so bad. I miss the beach. I miss bintan. Argh.
